  4. Gunner I don’t do Facebook ,sorry, I’d like to hear from you, but I can’t put my email on here, for obvious reasons. I’ll rent a p.o.box next time I’m in town. Then I’ll put it on here for you. How’s that?

  5. I want to say thank you to all of our servicemen and service women who fought in that war. Viet Nam did bad things to our people but the other bad thing was they came home to a country who didn’t give the respect that they all deserved. I had many relatives who were over there and they were never the same when the came home. My heart still breaks for all of you who served our country fighting someone else’s war. I pray that God puts His hand on each and everyone of you and tries to bring you, even after all these years, some kind of healing. You were OUR heroes. My heart goes out to you.

  7. My husband did two tours. He was wounded, but physically he came back. Part of his mind didn’t; he jumps at loud noises, I must never startle him, I can’t touch him if he’s asleep, he screams at night. Why did it all happen? Deep Throat gave the reason: Follow the money. Then and now. God bless you, vets.

  8. Sunday nights, after chow, in 1970, AFVN or Armed Forces Vietnam Network had a two-hour radio show called ‘Sgt. Peppers’. This was the only time ‘heads’ were able to listen to the latest uncensored rock. The two most popular songs on AFVN in 1970 were ‘All Right Now” by Free and the Carpenters hit ‘We Only Just Begun’

Some things in life you never forget Vietnam was one of them.
